11A- Idea Napkin No. 1
1) A little about me is that my parents are immigrants from Vietnam and they came to America with nothing more than what they could carry on hand and they had to start new. My father always had dreams of owning his own business and that's what he did. Along the way he taught me important things in business including laws you have to follow, the type of people you want to work with, and most importantly, you just have to put your idea into action. I believe that my surface knowledge of business and seeing how my dad's business was started and how it is still running to this day can help me start one of my own.
2) What I'll be offering to customers is a cheap and easy way to help out their environment while doing what they would usually do and I will include rewards to give back to the community that is working hard to keep the environment clean.
3) I'm offering it to a certain market at first which is to people living on the water, who have boats, and or who are fisherman because they are most prominently affected by it right now.
4) These customers care because it affects their line of work and their leisure. Many fisherman have to deal with trash and pollution affecting their fishing and many boaters find it hard to have a good time when boating through puddles of trash.
5) What sets us apart from everyone else is the rewards program we will be doing in order to give back to the people that work hard to help save our environment and at the same time it will entice people to buy our product and help out.
I believe that all these elements would fit together well in order to create a good product and program that can be implemented all over the US. With the cheap cost and easy implementation of my product and service combined with my current knowledge and some help from other business owners such as my dad, I believe that this product can easily be created and started with a little marketing. The only weak aspect of my idea is the production, I do not have a model that is efficient or that is backed by research to help. I just have the idea.
Hi Nathan,
ReplyDeleteI agree that all of your elements fit well together. I really like that you decided to target people that live on the water or that own boats. I think that's a really good awareness of your target market. It might be harder to get people that are further removed rom the problem to care in the early stages of your product development. I also think that it is interesting that you decided to implement a rewards program. It does add to the level of participation that you will receive.
